Hi,
I need to stop the PO creation in SRM & R/3.
Pls suggest.
Thanks,
Shah.
Hi Kyamuddin
One option is to increase the approval level and see that the last approver do not apporve the SC and there by we can stop PO getting created for specific Prodcuct Category.
Other option is to change the Customisation settings in spro --SRM Server -- Cross-Application Basic Settings -- Define Objects in Backend System (Purch. Reqs, Reservations, Purch. Orders)
In this path for this option, here we maintain product category wise settings for backend documents you can change the 2 parameters
1 INC Proc - Always External Procurement
2 Ext Procument - Always Purchase REquistion
By this you can avoid creating PO temporary and then change the setting normal.

Thanks a lot for prompt answer!!
But I am working in Extended Classic Scenario.
SO it tries to create Local PO & then transfer to Backend.
I tried with 2nd option with junk values for subsequent doc type, but it didn't work.
Do you know any BADI through which we can stop Local PO Creation without affecting the Workflow Log?
Thanks,
Kyamudddin.
Well BBP_TARGET_OBJTYPE will not suffice my requirement as I do not have to create subsequent documents for shopping cart.
Also BBP_EXTLOCALPO_BADI does not have all the item fields for SC, as I need to decide the same based on PO number(CUF Field) at the item in SC.
any more suggestions??
Thanks,
Kyamuddin.
Hi Shah,
I tried to find a solution to the same requirement. With little outcome, however.
Did you meanwhile find a solution?
Best Regards
Udo
