Change starting Work Center

Hallo SAP gurus,

I have a working Incident Management and I want to add Change Management to my work center.

The Incident Management is our most important work center and should be the first work center to be shown when logging in. Does anyone have an idea how to change the starting work center?

Hi all,

I am sorry to attach to this "old" post, but it seems to be the most fitting for me...

Does anybody know how to change the default tab for workcenter?

I switched order of the tabs so that "technical monitoring" is the first, but I am still on "business process operations" when I start sm_workcenter or solman_workcenter.

Does anybody know how to change this?

Hi,

You have to rename role letter at the beginning of role name.

EX: SAP_SMWORK_TECH_MON rename to custom ZASAP_SMWORK_TECH_MON.

Other role rename to ZSAP* or ZBSAP*, It depends on you.

It's stupid, but work it.

Hello Michael,

Of course you can move the Solman_Workcenter tabs around to any position you like.

It is done in the following manner:

Start Solman_Workcenter

Then right click on the Navigation menu (button) and from that menu select > User Settings > More

Then you get a window "Display Tab Title" on the right hand side and "Hide Tab Title on the Right"

In the Display Tab Title window, you would highlight the line with the Incident Management WorkCenter and click up until it is the first position ( before home) or the second position ( just after Home Tab). In fact you can completely customize the order of the tabs.

Of course one thing to keep in mind, this is a User Setting, so it is only effective per user. Each user would need

to make this setting. I am not sure how it can be done globally.

But this will place the Incident Management Tab first. And this is what you were looking for, so I have shared how it is done.

thank you for your help. Sorry I couldn't answer faster, I was stuck on the Cebit

I also found the posibility to switch the order of the tabs. Unfortunately the Change Management-Tab is still the starting tab, even though he is in 2nd position.

@shivjansi: I checked these links but couldn't find a solution

Hi Michael,

I dont think that you have any options to customize the tab positions in SOLMAN_WORKCENTER.

One thing you can do is only assign the roles for the user for specific workcenter menu.
