Hi Guru's.

I have setted up a new system and there are more than 500 TR and it should be done in a sequence.

I am able to do it manually using tpimport the data is also comming in to the system but logs are not comming in SAP system (se01)

I am using the below command to import the TR from OS level

tp addtobuffer <REQ> <SID> CLIENT=<no> PF=<pf PATH>

tp import <REQ> <SID> CLIENT=<no> U=0123 PF=<pf PATH>

please let me know if there is something else that i need to put in for logs to come in to SAP system.

Do NOT use UPPERCASE in the subject

Hi Imtiaz,

The logs are only getting written at the domain controller, when is use se01.

No logs are written on the existing system.

Hi John,

Do you get any output when you give the TR number in SE01 and press the log button, or it says the TR does not exist ?

Can you please paste the output if any.

On the domain controller, i get to see the logs which states that the request has been imported.

But on the other system it shows

add to buffer

deleted from buffer

When you go into STMS_IMPORT and click on logs, do you get an error?.. Can you post it?

Hi,

The new system is not a domain controller, it is having its own group.

Yes, i can access the //hostname/sapmnt/trans/log directory from al11.

Does this has to do with U mode. in tp import command??

Hi John,

Were you able to see logs from domain controller SE01?

Can you check if the directory /usr/sap/trans/log is accessible from AL11 of your new system.

Is this system a domain controller or part of a domain?

If it is part of domain, than can you check logs in SE01 of domain controller. Can you see here?
