Hi Expert,

I am going to install Java Stack Sap Netweawer CE 7.1 on Sql Server 2008(R2) on windows enviroment 2008(r2).

Is database is compatible with SAP java stack?

Then i can use SAP CE 7.2 instead of SAP CE 7.1. I will be using window server R2,SQL Server 2008 R2 with SAP CE 7.2.

Are all the components compatible with each other?

Hi,

Yes, NW CE 7.2 is definitely compatible with WIndows Server 2008 R2/MSSQL Server 2008 R2.

We already have such a setup complete and running without issues.

As you can read in point '4' (SAP releases based on Netweaver 7.1), and

in particular letter 'd' of that point (Installing a 7.1 system on SQL

Server 2008R2), you cannot use the Netweaver 7.1 installation package to

install a new SAP system on SQL Server 2008R2. You should instead perform

the installation on SQL Server 2005, apply the required application SP

levels and the required SAP kernel and only then you are able to upgrade

the database to SQL Server 2008R2.

Hi,

As per the Product Availability Matrix, the Win Srv 2008 R2/MSSQL Server 2008 R2 combination is supported by NW CE 7.1.

You can proceed with the installation.
