SAPINST getting crash after starting.

We are using AIX 6.1 and DB2 9.7.Previously we have installed SAP ECC Netweaver 7.01 SR1 EHP4 ready in AIX 5.3.It properly worked, but now in AIX 6.1 its getting crashed.

Our Java version is 1.5

We are starting it using ./sapinst. after that we are selecting prerequisite check option from menu.

Just after clicking next its get crash and error is:

Child process gets killed.sapinst gets crashed.

I am not infront of server console,so will post the actual error msg after a while.

Is it a problem regarding JCE Policy ??

Check ulimit on the server. and also paste the log here.

Hi

Error is similar to this :

iauxsysex.c:318: child /tmp/sapinst_exe.209324.1256978362/sapinst (pid 266368) has crashed. Executable directory is /tmp/sapinst_exe.209324.1256978362. Contact Support.

iaextract.c:895: child has signaled an exec error.

What should be the ulimit value, Can you suggest??

Please verify sapinst_instdir's owner and permissions, another good idea is to remove it completely and start again.

Move the contents of /tmp/ to another location and launch the sapinst again.
