SQL database restore by windows NT backup

Dear All,

I am using solution manager with SQL database on windows envoirnment. Few days back our OS got crash and we did format the same machine.

we have complete system backup only. we diid restore the complete system. when we start the SAP MMC , work process showing red.

I am doing this first time. kindly help. Kindly also guide me if any preocess left?

Hi!

I think this is Kernel issue.

check the following:

1. Your SQL database is up or not.

2. check the dev_disp file for log.

3. Try to trans -d if it return 0 (zero) then connection OK, if not check the trans.log file

4. If database is up, then update the SAP kernel. SAP instance shown in red colour may be this due to some kernel file missing or corrupt.

5. if not working, post the dev_disp log file details
