Hi,

we have the following problem.

The system is running and all of a sudden, we can't conect with DB tools like DBMGUI and dbmcli. Nothing is stated in the logs and R3trans is going through.

With dbmcli we get the message:

rror! Connection failed to node (local) for database AGF:

-24691,ERR_EXIT: The DBM server must be aborted.

-24726,ERR_SHMLINESEXCEEDED: Too many lines of type 4

-24692,ERR_CHECKER_THREAD_INTERNAL: Checker thread has an internal problem.

-24726,ERR_SHMLINESEXCEEDED: Too many lines of type 4

we are on 7.7.0.22

Thanks

Jan

Hello Jan,

1. Are you SAP customer?

What is the OS of the database server?

2. Please post the output of the command:

xinstinfo AGF

If the database is running on UNIX/Linux server :

more /etc/opt/sdb

Do you have active dbmsrv processes on the database server?

Hello Jan

1.

As you are SAP customer i recommend to create the SAP message and get SAP support.

2.

In general :

-> Please don't delete the shared memory files when you have active dbmsrv processes.

-> Next step : following info needed:

Otput of the commands:

ls -l /sapdb/data/wrk

/sapdb/AGF/db/pgm/dbmshm CHECK /sapdb/data/wrk AGF

Is /sapdb/data/wrk shared between two database servers?

Hi,

Can you please have a look into directory

/var/lib/sdb/dbm/ipc

Can you find the 2 shared memory files here?

You can simply rename them directly.

Please let me know if this works.

Regards

Vivek

Looks like you have to raise a message at SAP for this. Check this thread:

Kind regards,
