Synchronous Timeout Exceeded

Hi ,

My Scenario is RFC -> PI 7.1----->SOAP

Soap Response has to be sent to Idoc as well. So i have configured Sync/Async Bridge for this.

When i test my scenario, I get synchnous time out exceeded error in RWB. And the exception caught in Audit log is

" MP: exception caught with cause com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessageExpiredException: Message 569e70bb-42fd-11e0-cd6b-000000190a5a(OUTBOUND) expired."

I have tested RFC to SOAP without BPM to test soap connectivity. It works fine.

Also in SXMB_MONI i get " Timeout condition of pipeline reached " error.

Can someone suggest what could be the possible cause for this error ?

Hi Mohan,

you can configure BPM sync/async bridge timeout parameter directly:

SXMB_ADM / Integration Engine Configuration / Configuration / Category SA_COMM / Parameter CHECK_FOR_ASYNC_RESPONSE_TIMEOUT

Default is 60 (seconds), just enhance to 180 (3 minutes) and test.
