Hello,
Currently in our application servers it uses, SLES 10.with SP3 (in x86_64)
DB is Oracle 10g (10.2.0.4.0)
We have an idea of moving to SLES 11.
I want to know, how to perform this kind of upgrade.
Is there any proper document to get an idea.
What are the precautions , that needs to consider from SAP point of view.
We are having 2 seperate clusters also (for DB and CI). Those also deployed with SuSE linux 10 .
If we upgrading those 2 , how can we perform it.
Will it affect to DB / CI clusters.
Thanks n Regards,

Hello,
You could just upgrade the os as the sap kerenl will work on upgraded os
Also check the system copy guides if you want to do a homogenous system copy
www.service.sap.com/systemcopy

as well as upgrading an existing SAP system from

Hi Markus,
Apologies have seen the note thoroughly now.Direct upgrade is supported.Thanks.
Customers who previously used SLES 10 with the latest Service Pack can use YaST to upgrade their system directly to SLES 11.
Known issues regarding the upgrade from SLES 10 to SLES 11 are documented in the current release notes available at:
