SAP Logon not connecting

Hello all,

I have a weird issue where after I shut down our SAP PRD and started it up again, I was not able to log onto SAP.

What is strange is that if I log onto the QA system, and use an RFC to log on, I can do so without a problem.

I have checked the traces and there are no issues, the dw processes are running on the server, so that is not the issue.

I have also tried to input both the IP address and the hostname in the SAP Logon in case the DNS wasn't resolving, but both don't work.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Any ideas with this, guys?

Is this in the right forum?

Just an update.

I have tried to use telnet to check that the ports are working on the server itself, and they are not, as seen below.

What could be wrong?

Connection refused is most likely a firewall issue.. Please check with the network dudes..

Kind regards,

Hi Mark,

Thanks for the tip.

I actually just managed to get it right, as it would appear some network ninja decided to adjust my SIDms04 entry in the services file, just to make my weekend enjoyable.

But all is well now.

Thanks again.
