Configure Email SAP 6

Former Member

Dear all,

We had been to upgrade the SAP System 4.6D to ECC 6. In that version (4.6D) we had the configured Internet Email Gateway (ML).

Now i need to configure send mail to external address of my company. My question...This method ML can resolve my issues in ECC 6?

Thanks a lot

Hi ,

I agree with Markus.

Have you verified whether you have mentioned *.yahoo.com.br in the adress area?

Go to SCOT-> double click on SMTP -->Supported Adress Types > (internet)>Click on Set -->check the adress Area filed.

If you have not mentioned *.yahoo.com.br here then add the entry and Save.

Hi gurus,

We found the problem, the option "Node in use" had not been marked.

Thanks a lot

Thanks a lot for helped me.

I have another question...I'm using relay in Exch 2007, but my emails don't leave out my Aix system.

Have you ever see this issue?

Thanks VivekHegde.

- Is the sending job running?

- if you switch on the trace in SCOT, what's the error if you get any?

- is the machine running exchange configured so it takes the mails?

I would check sending emails at OS level using utility like sendmail (if possible) and also check ports at firewall.

Hi Markus,

My job is running success!

My SCOT is configured how SAP indicates. I access the SO01, mount an email and send. I receive this menssage "Cannot process message, no route from DENISGOMES to XXXXXXXX @ yahoo.com.br", this address is correct.

My exchange is configured to takes this emails. My co worker configured with all range ips that machine Unix.

Thanks guru Markus.

So that is your problem, the system doesn't know that it should send the mail through the relay host.

Make sure

- you have configured a default domain in SCOT (Settings - Default Domain)

- your SMTP node is configured to route to the Exchange server (doubleclick on SMTP node, check the "Internet" settings)

- the user DENISGOMES has a valid email addresse configured in SU01
