RZ10 Import profiles of active servers fails after homogeneous system copy

We have followed our standard refresh procedure of refreshing QAS from PRD data that we have done many times, however this time we ran into an error that we have never encountered before when we do the RZ10 to import new profiles.

In order to delete the old profiles we did an SE14 to delete the entries for TPFET, TPFID and TPFHT. Then we did an RZ10 to import the new profiles. When we do this, we get the following results in the log.

Log for the import of profiles

Default profile
winvrtq2\sapmnt\QAS\SYS\profile\DEFAULT.PFL

Could not be read. The import is therefore not possible.

Instance profile
winvrtq2\sapmnt\QAS\SYS\profile\QAS_DVEBMGS00_ECCGVS100

Could not be read. The import is therefore not possible.

Instance profile
winvrtq2\sapmnt\QAS\SYS\profile\QAS_D00_eccgvs101

Could not be read. The import is therefore not possible.

Start profile
winvrtq2\sapmnt\QAS\SYS\profile\START_DVEBMGS00_ECCGVS100

Could not be read. The import is therefore not possible.

Start profile
winvrtq2\sapmnt\QAS\SYS\profile\START_D00_eccgvs101

Could not be read. The import is therefore not possible.

Instance profile
winvrtq2\sapmnt\QAS\SYS\profile\QAS_D00_eccgvs101

Could not be read by file; Therefore could not be checked.

(Server = eccgvs101_QAS_00 )

We can log on to the QAS sytem, but we get dumps everytime we log on stating:

Runtime Errors CALL_FUNCTION_SIGNON_INCOMPL

Date and Time 02/24/2011 11:37:47

Short text

Incomplete logon data.

What happened?

Error in the ABAP Application Program

The current ABAP program "SAPMSSY1" had to be terminated because it has

come across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed.

Thanks in advance for your help.

The problem was releated with secstore. We found a SAP note ( Note 1532825 - Deleting SECSTORE entries during system export/system copy).

By following the note we resolved the problem with both RFCs and importing Profiles

I had the same issue with error reading Profiles and also could not add TST system back into domain because of RFC error. This solution worked for me.
