ORA-00607 during R3load import

Hi,

during the database import phase of a Sap system on AIX 6.1 /Oracle 10204, latest interim patches, I have this error:

ORADPL:2011.02.23 11:58:41 (ret=-1) ORA-00607: Internal error occurred while making a change to a data block

ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [kddummy_blkchk], [81], [319000], [18038], [], [], [], []

All the packages have been imported successfully, a part one continue to return thie error.

How I can fix this situation avoiding to redo the full installation ?

How can I exclude form usage the corrupted block , or maybe fix it ?

Best Regards

<ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: kddummy_blkchk, 81, 319000, 18038], [, ], [, [] >

Please check sap Note 1226712 - kts* merge fix for Oracle 10.2.0.4

Thanks for the feedback.

The oracle patch is already in place; I'm thinking to repeat the import of this package without the "-loadprocedure fast".

Did removal of " -loadprocedure fast " solve the above mentioned isue?

Roberto,

The ORA-600 error is due to a bug with Oracle and I don't think you need to change how you were doing your import. I "think" you hit the issue as shown in SAP Note 1368640, where a specific type of Array Update can cause corruption which is a HOT NEWS issue.

If you followed SAP Note 1137346 and installed the July 2011 SBP then you have the bugfix for that specific problem installed. So a good rule of thumb:

1) Be on a good version of Oracle

FYI - Unless you have purchased Extended Support for 10g, you should be looking to upgrade to 11G (currently 11.2.0.2) in the near future since 10g is no longer supported (see SAP Notes 1174136 and 1339724). If you have not started your 11g upgrade, don't go running to complete just from this notification. Take your time and plan the upgrade safely If you are already planning to upgrade to 11g, well done and never mind the info above.

2) Be on the latest SBP if possible or maybe one behind the latest SBP.

Good luck.
