Changes in delivery to sales order

Hi all,

I have made a change in carrier (partner tab) while creating delivery. Once save, the new carrier is not reflected in the sales order. Is it possible to have it automatically update the same change in sales order to reflect the new carrier along with the updates on the new freight condition ? Otherwise one would have to update it manually in the order.

Any suggestions on how you would approach it ?

thanks

Joyce

Hi Joyce

As it is not reflecting in the sales order , so maintain the partner function at sales order level also. and make sure in partner determination is done with that partner function also

Hi Sri Nath,

With standard configuration settings, you can't make changes in sales orders.

I think you have to go for enhancement. By the way, why the users care for changing in sales order? They can just check, whether in billing document, the correct details are populated.

HI Shiva,

If users don't change in sales order, then the freight charges will not be carried over to the billing. Then user

will have to populate the freight charges in billing. Would company care that freight charges have to be same on both order and invoice ?

thanks

Why can't the freight charges be added at delivery level? If it is added in the delivery level, then it can be sent to billing document. Make sure that the delivery pricing procedure carries same freight condition type, that are in sales order. You can just maintain only the freight condition types in delivery pricing procedure.

Regards,

Dear Mr.Chan

Instead of changing in the delivery, whenever the need to change arises, why can't you go to the corresponding SO & change.

Request you to try out this option.

Dear Chan

We can VERY MUCH change it in SO.

In partner determination procedure, UNCHECK (DEACTIVATE) the "Not Changeable" control.

In all probablility, your Problem is now SOLVED.
