Hello Gururs,

Performed the system copy by restoring DB from offline backup. It is Netweaver 7.0 PI

ABAP came up fine but java is not coming up and it is throwing this error. Appreciate your help

Caused by: com.sap.security.core.server.secstorefs.WrongKeyException: The encryption key (usually in the key file) is not the key that is required to decrypt

the data in the secure store file or the system name (SID) is wrong.

Hi,

Offline Backup Restore method for system copy in case of ABAP+Java system is not supported. You need to use export/import method. Because for Java most of the configuration lies in the file system.

Thanks

Hi,

Actually that is not correct. You can still use DB backup method, however the critical aspect is that for any J2EE stack (even in an ABAP+J2EE instance) you must run sapinst on the source system to export out the J2EE components.

Then on the target system you should run sapinst so that the J2EE component is installed correctly.

This is described in the System Copy Guide for SAP Systems (NW7 SR3 ABAP+Java, possibly earlier versions as well).

From the error you are receiving have you performed these steps?

Thanks.
