Change a datatype in an existing RFC BOP

Hello.

I have changed the length of a datatype, and need to change the corresponding BOP datatype.

Should I run "Generate RFC BOPs" again, to get the new datatype, or is it easier to just go into the datatype in my PARAMSRESPONSE type?

Is there any risk of losing code by using "Generate RFC BOPs"?

Thanks, Mikael

Hi Mikael,

you can regenerate the BOP. There is no loss. You set the class name prefix to the same prefix as the old class then it should be overwritten. Or you select a new name. You might have to adapt your Mapper to handle the correct new data type.

Thanks. That was really easy.

Lucky I saved all attributes I entered before.

Perhaps a tips for people when creating the BOP classes, to save variants in the reports for easy regeneration later.

Cheers!
