Hello Gareth,

As you know from the upgrade guide, that you could run

the upgrade APO 3.0A to SCM 5.0. There are some requirements

on the minimum level of the APO SP, Basis SP, liveCache version/build

LCA build ...; all information could be found in the upgrade guide.

The general information about Enhancements in SAP SCM 5.0 is written in the document at:

Service.sap.com/scm -> go to right, section 'mySAP SCM Solution Highlights'

-> display document 'mySAP SCM 2005 Value of Upgrade'

-> search section "SAP SCM Release 5.0"

SAP Note 806690 will give you the overview of Feature List SAP liveCache

technology 7.6.0.

The helpful information & documents are available at:

Service.sap.com/liveCache

And

Service.sap.com/scm -> mySAP SCM Technology

Thank you & best regards, Natalia Khlopina

I suggest you read the release notes.

The problem is that you are doing a big jump, from old version 3.0 to 5.0. You will need to do all the release notes from 3 to 3.1 from 3.1 to 4.0 from 4.0 to 4.1 and 4.1 to 5.0.

Also you need to focus on what could be important for your client. APO doesn't exist anymore as a product, it is part of SCM that includes the following:

SAP Inventory Collaboration Hub (SAP ICH)

SAP Event Management (SAP EM)

Go to:

http://help.sap.com/

mySAP Business Suite

SAP Supply Chain Management
