Availability Check and ATP

Dear All,

i want to know what is the difference between Availability Check and ATP (Available to Promise)

and is there any role of MRP and Transfer of Requirement in availability check?

pls let me know i am new to SAP

Your question is very very broad, vague & an entire subject & business model in itself.

I am sure, none of our friends here, can help you with this question of yours.

There are tons of materials online, people have written books,& many such things.

Pls be specific, atleast to a certain extent in Av.check questions.

Just for doing my small part in answering yout question:

there are 3 types of Av check

a) Av ch under product allocation.

b) Available to promise [ATP]

C) Global ATP [Av chk across multiple plants]

Firstly, Av check has to be carried out & then TOR {TRANSFER of requirements} takes place. (whether individual or collective}

Any specific questions, you are most welcome.
