PGI for customer deliveries or 261 moments may not be allowed if SLED date is in the past.
Check with your MM/PP guys. They may be using batch search strategies that prevent batch selection is SLED is in the past.
Refer to page 62 of attached link http://help.sap.com/printdocu/core/print46c/en/data/pdf/LOBM/LOBM.pdf
You can use SLED date in QA07 to block the batches.

If you have maintained maximum shelf life in material master under plant storage data ,system ask for "Manufacturing date in MIGO"
If you enter date of mfg in MIGO system asks you SLED/BBD in QA32/QA11 UD screen. The purpose id if date this date is less than the date of maximum shelf life date then you should reject the material through UD screen. That is control given in QM module before UD.
When you enter here SLED/BBD system modify/use for the date recurring inspection ,also Batch master .

You can change the shelf life date in the UD but the next inspection date is calculated from the date of the UD.
I should have been a bit more clear on that comment. The next inspection date is calculated form the production date when the material is received. I was referring to the 09 inspection lots when I made the above statement. From an 09 inspection lot, the next inspection date is calculated from the date the UD is made. Not from the last inspection date.
