Hi All,

I am facing some issues while updating the PRT consumption in a production order.

I have done all the requisite maintenance.

Please advice.

Hi,

Thanks,

Its Working fine for discrete manufacturing where production order Confirmation is done by CO11N.

But itu2019s not working in Repetitive manufacturing. where confimation is done by MFBF

It is any other setting required for repetitive?

Dear,

Production resources tools :

In most of the manufacturing scenario, there will be few PRT's like Jigs,Fixtures, Beams etc,. It will be a requirement to track the usage of the same.

One of the way is explained below.

the below scenario will be possible only if you are working in the Discrete Manufacturing environment.

This particular topic has more integration with the Plant maintenance module.

Process Flow:

1. Create a equipment

u2022 Create an equipment with IE01.

u2022 When you create the equipment kindly take care in the Equipment category it needs to be P - PRT.

u2022 Also in the PRT tab now give the required input like usage,Task list type etc.

u2022 Here in the below there will be a measuring counter , we have to attach this in the later stage.

2. Create Characteristics

u2022 Use CT04 to create characteristics.

u2022 Create a numeric Characteristics with description called "USAGE'

u2022 Also give the Unit of measure as Each / Pieces.

3. Create a Measuring point

u2022 Use transaction IK01.

u2022 Here create the measuring point with the equipment which you created earlier.

u2022 Attach the characteristics usage in the characteristics filed.

u2022 Also do check the measuring point is also a counter.

4. Attaching Measuring point to equipment/PRT

u2022 After the measuring point is created, now in the PRT tab as mentioned earlier attach the same in the field.

u2022 this assignment is very important.

5. Attaching the PRT in the routing.(CA02)

( When you are doing this scenario for the first time, do as described below only)

u2022 In the routing, go to the operation overview, now attach the PRT as equipment.

u2022 It will ask you to enter the usage value etc.

u2022 Here assign 1 and uom as EA/PC whatever you have mentioned in the step2

u2022 Once you have completed the assignment save this routing.

6. Creation of production order(CO01)

u2022 Now create a production order for the header material

u2022 In the operation overview, you can now check if the PRT is assigned.

u2022 Here you kindly check if the PRT has been attached and also check if the measuring point is also available there.

u2022 Create,Release and save the production order

7. Production Confirmation ( Co11n)

u2022 Now do the production confirmation for the production order /Operation for which the PRT has been added.

8. Usage Value( IK03)

u2022 Now in the IK03 you can display the measuring documents that have created.

u2022 for each production confirmation you will have individual document getting created.

Now you will have the usage value for the PRT. Since the PRT has been created as equipment we can trigger a maintenance plan etc. from here you can do forward integration to PM module.

9. PRT in orders.

u2022 For example if we have one PRT called PRT0001 this can be used in only one order at a time.

u2022 So to track if we have used in many order or in which all orders this PRT has been used.

u2022 You can use PRT in order T.code.

10. General

u2022 Generally in the discrete manufacturing environment we can attach during the Production order creation.

Check the below formula is updated in Equipment master & Routing

Dont use SAPF02 formula

Create a formula as below

Created formula like SAP_09 * PRTSTD / SAP_08

SAP_09 : Operation Qty

PRTSTD : PRT Standard Value

SAP_08: Base Qty.

Subbu

Kindly try this and if you have any querry/corrections do post a comment.

Hi Subbu,

Thanks for your response.

I will explain what I have done so far.

1. FG Mat. Master created.

2. BOM Created.

3. PRT as equipment created.

4 Routing assingment for this PRT done

5. Characteristic & class Maintenance done

6. Measuring document created.

Now When I create the Production Order,I can see the usage for PRT.

I have used a formula: TEST1 * SAP_09

Here the TEST1 is referenced to field :EWVGW:Standard usage value for production resources/tools

So,Now When I try to release & confirm the Order the Actual PRT usage is not getting updated.

Please advice.

If possible, can you please share your contact details.

Vivek

Dear,

Can you explain what is this Test 1 & what are the Formula parameters you have used.

Subbu.

Dear Subbu,

I have explained the Parameter Test 1 in my previous thread.

TEST1 = Parameter with origin 5, Field EWVGW is referenced. its the std. PRT usage.

The formula I am being using is TEST1*SAP_09 ( I.e. the Operation qty.)

So If maintain usage as 1 in the production routing for a certain Base Qty. say 40.

Now If I punch a Prod. Order for 80 EA. the PRT planned usage value is coming 80.

Now when I confirm this Order, the actual usage value is not getting updated.

Please advice.

Dear

PRT' s are used as a tools which are used during the production. So they are not consumed.

First create the PRT with material type FHMI

Then you have to assign this PRT in particular operation in the Routing.

The PRT always reusable.

Go to CO02 (Production order) in operation view at bottom there is option for PRT.

You can do the availability check for PRT also . PRT has usage and formula on that basis it can be utilize in production.

Only PRTs will have the maintenence plans and calibration plans thats all .PRT will not have any consumption in production

You have to maintain availability group in material master.

Then in transaction OPJK - order control, cehck the availability check settings for PRT's
