Time zone and order confirmation

Dear SAP gurus

I have a qns regarding time zone and order confirmation

In Australia, we have several plants located in the different regions, with different time zone.

Seems like SAP is confirming sales orders using the time zone of "Created By".

Suppose the cut off time on Adelaide shipping point is set as 15.30 local time. Any orders coming in after this time should be confirmed for the next date.

Now if a Perth user (timezone GMT+ 8 ) enters a sales order with Adelaide delivery plant / shipping point (timezone GMT + 10.5 ) at 14:00 local time in Perth, the sales order will still be confirmed even though it is already past the cut off time in the Adelaide shipping point ( which is already 16:30)

Is there a standard solution in SAP which allows us to confirm sales orders using the shipping point timezone, instead of the 'Created By' ?

Thanks

Hi James,

We faced a similar issue with Korean orders for our client.

The System timezone was CET while shipping point in Korea with Korean time zone. (+7 hrs time diff)

So the orders placed between 1:00 hrs to 8:00 hrs in korea were getting backordered eventhough enough stock was available.

We fixed it by adjusting timezone of shipping point via OVXD to match the system time zone.

You can also try it out if you have no issue with updating timezone for your shipping point.

Hi James,

Ask your technical people while save the order to check the time . Explain the exact requirement to them show them all the fields .It is possible .Please tell us if the issue is not solved.

Madhu.

Hi Madhu,

Thank you firstly.

But firstly we would be happy if there is any standard sap solution for this time zone difference or any OSS on it.

User-exit and development on it is our second option.

James

I have same issue here. System is saving TO creation time based on user master timezone that looks a system inconsistency to me as any other could misinterpret the time or at least in the LTAK table should report the timezone of the user along with time created on.

Any clue?

Hi,

FYI

SAP executes transaction based on your SAP server time.

For checking your SAP server time: Click>System then click>status there you will find your server time in System time

You cannot change the timezone to be based on Created by or Shippinp point
