Adding Server Node in Single Portal Instance

Hi Folks,

I would like your advise of about adding additional server node in Portal server.

I did that with reference to notes 723909 and below link.

It is working fine.

By the way, I would like to clarify somethings.

Under MMC, now there are server0 & server1 (newly added).

When server0 is down from Green to Yellow status of any reason (but server1 is still green), the portal logon page could not be reached (until server0 resumed Green automatically)

It is happening vice versa.

Seem the new server node added cannot help on this?

I mean keeping the Portal workable if there is at least one J2EE server running well.

What I just noted is that any process running in server1 would not be disturb even server0 is fail/restart.

It is the first Pro I enjoyed after adding server node.

First you need to check for what reason your any of server is restarting. is it restarting with error ? you can find detail error in std_serverX.out file, what heap size you have configured for both server node,

it might the case that both server nodes are competing for grabbing the memory if there is not enough memory configured on ther server which server node require for processing.
