Hi all,
I need a STARTRFC executable on a non-sap iseries to communicate with other sap systems.
I have a LIBRFC: 7.00 EBCDIC LIBRFC V5R1 29 so just need the STARTRFC itself.
Due to all sorts of reasons I cannot download and unpack the latest version.
Thanks
Tom
Hi Volker,
I have a working connection now with a 6.20 ascii kernel.
While not as esthetically pleasing as a RPGLE the STARTRFC offers the possibility for a programmable solution to our needs.
Thanks
Tom

Hi Tom,
then I wouldn't touch anything )
6.20 kernel is years out of maintenance, but STARTRFC or LIBRFC is still very stable - so I would just leave it and run it successful ...

Hi Tom,
I would say, that you will not find it in the latest kernel ...I think, it is available in the older kernels only. I can provide you with such a kernel, as you can use STARTRFC of ANY release - it is not needed to have the latest or the same, as RFC ensures, that releases are independent supported

Hi Tom,
that depends on you ... both works ... it depends on the question, what you prefer ...
