Hi all,
From what I can see, "design mode" surpresses the values being displayed when editing an existing report.
Does it serve any other purpose?
Many thanks
Neil
Hi Neil
The design mode supports creation of a report without executing it by default. The default behaviour executes the report automatically after every change to the report.
If you are designing a broad and wide report, and have huge data set that s loaded which takes some time to execute, then design mode comes to the rescue to speed things up.

Rajesh
