Restricting the detail object of class in Universe designer

When we use BEX queries as the data base in building the Universe using Universe designer for Web I reports, detail object, class, objects are automatically selected and brought into the universe while we create Universe for reporting in Web I .

For example Group code is a master data bearing characteristics with Senior Manager and Manager as Attributes.

In one of the Business process (Cube) definitions Group code is a dimension,

Hence,

Group code is a dimension whereas in BO it is a Object Class

same Group code is a character whereas in BO it is a sub class

Group code key is a SID whereas in BO it is a detail object

When BEX Queries are used for building the universe SID is also automatically brought in Universe. Is there any way to restrict SID being populated in Universe reason being Characters are the only one used for display objects.

The only thing you can set on or off is generating technical names as details.

Tools | Options | OLAP.

If you dont want the id's to be shown to your users, hide them.

Edit | hide item(s)

Restriction only applied to what is in an object not the objects themselves.

I am not sure whether we can restrict it from BW side.

But you could probably hide the objects which are not required in Universe.
