When you use the TAXINN procedure, your excise / tax conditions are present in the sales pricing schema (config tcode V/08). The nodes of J1ID are useful for the input side ie related to MM.
However, you need to maintain the material - chapter id combination, because the chapter id is used to determined the excise duty rates. When you assign chapter id to a material, the chapter id is stored in the control code field in sales general / plant view of the material master.
