Hi all,

I've to implement calibration inspection and my first requirement is to upload old master records. In particular I m asked to import past equipment tests (It's a huge amount of data).

I checked in the forum and I found tcode IBIP(but only with reference to equipment master).

Is this the correct way?

As per my understanding for a calibration cycle.

master data

1.Equipment master(IE01).

2.Calibration task list(IA01).

3.Inspection points & sampling procedure(QDV1) in task list.

then

1.Maintenance plan(IP01)

2.Maintenance Schedule.(IP30/IP10)

After scheduling you get inspection Lot where you do results recording.

Now if you need to copy the old calibration data then it depend where you need to capture & save it.

can you let me know how & where you want old data .

Are you going to store this data in equipment master?

As i understand if you need to load old data then you need to have inspection lots with past dates where in results you can post this data.

Exactly! I want to know what I have to use to get:

inspection lots with past dates where in results you can post this

LSMW, BADI, ecc??

first make sure that the master data I suggested is in place including maintenance plan .

Now in Maintenance plan put the date as back date depending upon the maintenance cycle( like 363 ,180 days etc).

Now schedule the maintenance plan in IP10 ,this will create the inspection lot of type 14.

Here using may be LSMW or BDC ( which is most suitable) you can upload the old data.

Make sure in task list you maintain similer char/mic in the task list. You need to spend time in Master data generation.!!
