IDES - SAP ERP 2005

While installing erp 5.0 IDES SR1 with oracle on windows server 2003 R2 X64 bit unicode mode. i,m getting kernel error. I had tried all kernels availably on SAP OSS. please give me link where i can below mentioned kernel.

error - oracle:akk:6.40:kernel:*:amd

Please suggest me whether it is ok to change cd labal and proceeds the installation.

Hi,

your message indicates two possible requirements:

1. SAP ERP 2005 was renamed to SAP ERP 6.0. If you want to install this release (the latest one), please have a look at:

SAP Note 1379040 IDES ERP 6.0 ECC 6.0 incl. EHP4

In this case, you will need the NW 7.0x Kernel (Unicode)

2. SAP ECC 5.0

Please have a look at:

SAP Note 822208 IDES mySAP ERP ECC 5.0 SR1

In this case, you will need the NW 6.40 Kernel ( Non-Unicode).

I'm installing ECC 5.0 IDES

and tried below mentioned kernel both uni-code and non uni-code

media used:-

SAP NETWEAVER 04 Support Release 1

Kernel used

but all in vain, do i need different media ? If yes, please specify the material no.

you need to specify Non-Unicode during the installation with SAPInst. Did you do this ?
