One characteristc for multiple plants

Hello All,

In our project we have two company codes and two plants in each company code. In first company QM module is already implemented and we are doing roll out for second company codes. Major QM activities and batch charactristics are same as products are same. For characteristics selected sets are assigned along with plant one. Now I want to use same batch charactristics for the second plant and I maintained all selected sets for the second plant also. But how can I assign second plant in the charactristics valu tab page? There is only one plant field. I want to use same selected sets for the second plant also.

Please clear my one doubt ...are you talking about class char or MIC?

Both are plant independent.Once created for one plant can be used for other plants also......

You have to create same batch char in two plants...........

Thanks for the quick reply.

But how can I create same charactristic codes in second plant? Now client is saying that if same characteriscts are available in the system what is the use of creating new one? If we created with diff codes still description will reman same and it will show duplication in the syswtem.

Please suggest other solution
