PDA device

Dear Sir,

Do SAP offer PDA solution in its package, and if yes, is it included in the package or its separate cost?

what is the specs needed in the PDA device to match with SAP system?

P.S:

- We have ECC 6.0, CRM and Business Objects

- PDA device we need should be able to read the barcode and record some information about the Items.

Hi Salah,

yes, SAP supports PDA clients - no it does not come out of the box with standard ERP Sysem.

If you want to support PDA devices you have severl options:

1.) you create a page in ICM oder Portal for PDA devices and access it online. Barcode and RFID Access is supported by this

2.) if you want to have as well offline access, you need to install Netweaver Mobile and either buy SAP Mobile CRM client for PDA or any other Standard SAP Mobile product or you need to develop your own solution on top of SAP Netweaver Mobile.

3.) you can add Sybase server to this lanscape, which gives you some benefit over option 2. As well you need to develop offline client or buy solution from SAP.

Cost.... please ask your SAP Sales person about any pricing if you need Netweaver MObile.

Hope this does not open to many new questions - I guess this is more easy by phone.
