Tablespace name Size(MB) Free(MB) Used(%) Autoextend Total size(MB) Sum of all free fragments(MB) Total used (%) #Files #Segments #Extents Status Contents
PSAPSR3 148,192.00 673.5 100 YES 180,000.00 32,481.50 82 16 155,048 226,940 ONLINE PERMANENT
PSAPSR3700 65,740.00 291.88 100 YES 130,000.00 64,551.88 50 13 801 8,231 ONLINE PERMANENT
PSAPSR3USR 30 22.81 24 YES 10,000.00 9,992.81 0 1 70 114 ONLINE PERMANENT
PSAPTEMP 6,990.00 6,990.00 0 YES 10,000.00 10,000.00 0 1 0 0 ONLINE TEMPORARY
PSAPUNDO 8,860.00 7,974.31 10 YES 10,000.00 9,114.31 9 1 21 484 ONLINE UNDO

SYSTEM 870 17.44 98 YES 10,000.00 9,147.44 9 1 1,212 2,813 ONLINE PERMANENT
SAPSR3 and PSAPSR3700 is used 100%, now what i have to do mean simply add the file or extent the value of used tablespaces.

Diya

As told by other techie, just check the available space first.
Suggest you to alter the tablespaces autextend off for the all tablespaces and do a manual monitoring and operations.

Hello,
{180,000.00 + 130,000.00 + (10,000.00 *5) = 360GB }
In you system, you need 360Gb total in your drive where you have SAPDATAn directory when all of your datafiles reaches its max size.
If you have still have 320 GB free space, there should not any problem till you extend any Tablespace. But please verify if you have 320Gb free now or if total size of drive is 320 GB ??
(Also, I assume you do not have anything other than this SAPDATAn in that drive which will grow and eat disk space)
What you need to understand is, you should have as much of space in drive as much you are having all datafiles in that drive after it reaches its max size.(If you create datafiles with autoexted yes, initial size of file on disk will be less and will b gradually extended as needed)

I would suggest u to run/schedule daily database check run the server using brtools( brconnect -u / -c -f check ) command
following type of warring message will point problem in advance :
CRITICAL_TABLESPACE, object: PSAPSR3, value: (max_extn of 5 files on disk 6) 40960000 KB (> 20423316 KB)
for details check :
Hello Diya,
This is very simple concept.. read SAP documentation for this.
You extend tablespace by adding Datafiles. Now Datafiles can be created mainly in2 ways:
1. Without Autoextend : Fixed size say 30 GB
2. With Autoextend : Fixed INITIAL size and later option for extend with a defined value (in this case, datafile say was created in 1 Gb in size and gradually increase by 1 GB upto 30 GB)
In both case, you have allocated 30 GB to tablespace, however actual size on disk will be different initially. So when u have files with autoextend, you need to monitor disk space periodically.
If you have 320 Gb free now, there is no problem going to happen soon.
I hope i answered what can be explained in short so close this thread. For other warnings in Check, first try to analyze yourself and later open a thread if required.
thanks

Hello Diya,
No, you have do nothing at the moment
I can see your Tablespace PSAPSR3 & PSAPSR3700 are Autoextend. So once it is reached 100%, datafiles with Autoextend Yes, will aromatically get extended.
So, from this screen, yo should keep close eye on Total used (%). If this reaches 90-95%, please add data files.
However, please check if yo have sufficient space in drive so that datafiles with atoextend YES, can grow.
( How : Check that yor datafiles are in <Drive>oracle/SID/SAPDATA1 or <Drive>oracle/SID/SAPDATA2 (path can be a bit different)... for this tablespace.. Now that drive shold have more free space.
If it is not, make those datafiles atoextend off and add nw datafiles in new drive <Drive>oracle/SID/SAPDATAn)
thanks
ashish

Add a new datafile (If you have suf space) and get an SAP training.
