customer master data maintenance - valid org levels

Hello Friends,

We know that customer master is defined at comp code and account group and sales area levels.

But is it correct to say also that Client is also a valid org level for customer master maintenance since all company codes share the same customer master code differented by only the comp code?

You can understand this just by executing the t.code SE16 with tables KNA1, KNB1 and KNVV.

Just put a customer number and execute. In the result screen, you can always see the client in the first column. Keep the cursor on one of the client value and hit F1 button. You can read the following description;

A legally and organizationally independent unit which uses the system.
