hello colleagues
I'm tryng to download a SMD Agent for Red hat Linux and I see the four options below, wich of them are to a host with Red Hat Linux? I tried to find a note that could help me but I could not find
Options
Linux on IA32 32bit
Linux on IA64 64bit
Linux on Power 64bit
Linux on x86_64 64bit
Hello Marcello,
execute the command "uname -a " in your system and you will get the informatrion about the platform and versions.
According to that data you can choose the SMD agent.

Marcello,
RED HAT is Linux,
So you really need to match it to the hardware platform, not the flavour of Linux.
If your server is 32 bit, you can't install teh 64 bit version, because the hardware needs to support 64 bit.
IA64 is a special architecture (Intel Architecture)
Power 64 Bit is IBM Power server line
x86_64 64bit is your IBM PC clone type architecture
So as you can see Red Hat is Linux....what you need to map it to is your hardware platform.
I hope this explains how the software is bundled, and how to determine which meets your requirements.
Thank you.
Regards,
Paul
