client system copy\db refresh details

Dear friends

i am first time to do the this work please help me

we are using ecc6+db2, i need to do the production data copy to quality system please give a steps to do the system copy/db refresh steps. pleae do the needful and thanks to all the team.

Here are the Steps:

Pre-request:

1. make sure you have sufficent db file system space in qulity ( Compare with Production)

Autcal task.

1. Take online/offline backup of Production ( if online backup you need archive files for roll forward)

2. Take java dump ( in case of dual stack)

3. Take offine integrated backup of QA system ( In case of restore require)

4. Drop QA db ( not db software)

5. Run SAP inst and select db method to restore

6. Stop at the point where SAPinst asked for db restore

7. Resotre offline/online production backup ( if online make sure you do roll fwd till the time)

8 Once db restore continue installation.
