Hi Gurus,
My current parameters of abap/buffersize is set to 300000 kB
from rz20 i can see that the space used is 100% on program buffers.
Can i double the value of abap/buffersize to 600000 KB
Hi JOHN_ABY
Kindly go thru the memory management sap note 88416-Zero administration memory management

Hi John,
You can increase the buffer parameters, ideally you can start it by doubleing it. But make sure you check them using RSPARAM command.

Hi John,
Following needs to be checked before You can increase the buffer parameters
01) Hit ratio for each buffer specially for program buffer > 95%.
02) Sometimes if hit ratio < 95% & no Swaps, you can ignore it.
03) Current usage of extended memory < 80%.
04) Please check the following thresholds for SWAPS for individual Buffer:
Program Buffer = 10,000 hits per day
Other Buffer's = 1,000 per day
05) Check for free space & Free Directory for all buffers.
Thanks
Deepak

Hi Puneet,
I have 32G of RAM in which only 10G is available.
Is there any formula for calculating the parameter based on the available RAM??
