Hi gurus,

In incompletion procedure we assign status group to fields. Would like to know more in detail about status groups and can any body clarify following doubt

In status group 3 General, billing doc and goods movement are checked

In status group 4 Genreal, delivery, billing doc and goods movement are checked.

Wht is the difference where in status 3 delivery is not checked but checked in status 4. and in both, price is not checked. can any body explain little bit in detail.

Could not find details in previous threads

Regards

Hi,

When we select one activity in status group, it means we allow that activity even if the data is not complete as per the incompletion log. So suppose Delivery is selected but Goods movement is not selected, it means we can create the delivery for an Incomplete Document but we can not do the PGI.

So for Status Group 3 where delivery is not checked, so if we use an Incompletion Procedure in Sales Order where the status group is 3, we can not create delivery for that Incomplete Sales Order, which is not the case if the status group is 4 where Delivery is selected, so we can create the delivery with status group 4.

Hope this will clear your query.

Thanks and regards

Hi,

In status group we will maintain a set of fields and if the field is not available the system gives a warning message or error message.

General data refers to standard data like PO number etc

Delivery could be Shipping point and storage location and we can hve any number of fields within the status group.

Pricing is not maintained as it may not be mandatory for all the cases like Free goods or promotional material.

Hope this clarifies.

Rgds
