Importing Pb - There is no universe file attached to the Universe info obje

Hi All,

We have Edge XI 3.1 in our Dev box. Recently upgraded it to SP3.

From then when we import a universe it is throwing the below error -

"There is no universe file attached to the Universe info object"

and all the webi's based out of those universes are not working properly.

Throwing an error in webi- "You do not have access to one or more data providers; only the ones to which you have access will be refreshed. Do you want to continue? (WIS 30286)"

And when we click yes it throws - "Some objects are no longer available in the universe. See your Business Objects administrator. (Error: WIS 00001)"

And the surprising thing is though we did the upgrade in Dev box we are facing the same universe issue in production BO box as well.

What could be the reason of this issues in all the BO systems(Dev and PRD) though we did the upgrade in DEV system?

Hi!

Seems that the universe is lost. If you have a copy locally on your drive or something similar - just rename this like the lost universe (Filename and Universe Name) then export this to your folder in BO. If you receive an error message that the universe is present, then go to you Input Filerepository and rename the file in that sub folder.

Now try to reexport which should succeed. Now your lost universe will be available again for the reports.
