Create TO for partial quantity

Former Member

Hi,

We have auto TO creation for picking the material. However, if there is no sufficient stock in warehouse, system does not create TO at all. For example if delivery is created for 10 numbers and we have only 8 numbers in warehouse, system should create TO for 8.

Can you tell me if I am missing any config?

Thanks,

-Shekhar

Hi,

Also, if you create the TO and setting "Adopt Pick Quant" in tcode LT03 is set to 1 or 2, then the 8 is updated to the delivery as the delivery qty and replaces the 10. This will help so that the delivery does not appear on the pick list again.

Negative stocks for a physical storage area...please no.

Hi

I am not sure why anybody would suggest that you allow negative stocks to overcome a problem as that will give you more problems to deal with, You do not want to create TO's for stock that is not there!!!!!!

However I digress

In your warehouse have you activated partial picking allowed?

Also what are you picking for? Delivery?

If it is delivery it should not create for stock that does not exist

If you create the TO in foreground (manually) it will ask you if the amount available is sufficient and you can say yes and pick what is there

I hope that this helps

Check 'complete delivery' indicator in customer master or order header.

SAP will not allow delivery processing if partial is not allowed.
