JSPM tries to connect to the wrong server

Hello.

When starting the JSPM, the password is rejected ,although correct , since the login to SDM works fine.

We realized , looking at the logs that the problem is

Server sapr3ci did not accept login request as admin on port 50018. Details: ERROR: Could not establish connection to server sapr3ci at port 50018: Connection refused##

where sapr3ci is WRONG, it is the name of the server where the original system was located (this one is a clone running on server sapshw1), correct one is sapshw1.

Can anybody give a hint where the wrong setting could be located?

SDM works fine.

Thanks a lot, kind regards

This is due to the copy process used to prepare copy of existing system. This is not supported by SAP. you may want to check the possibilities of homegeneous system copy process instead. BTW, check the hostnames via config tool.

Hope I have understood your question.

Hello.

The Java Instance has been exported and imported with SAPINST. The issue seems to be that the SID is the same, although the nodes are different.

changes have been manually performed in the config files.

This looks like a bug in the sapinst...

Any further hint is welcome...

Hi,

chck in configtool.chck for wrong server entries and replace with correct one and restart the cluster.
