Hi,
How to configure inspection types 4 and 3 for Production?
We have production routing which is assigned in material master.
Do we need to create one more routing or inspection plan for Quality for inspection type 03?
Thanks,
Venkat
Hi,
Thanks for your reply. Do we need to assign these inspection plans in material master in production versions?
Thanks,
Venkat

Dear
1.04 inspection type is used for at GR from prod or process order.Assign 04 to material master QM view with check box post to QI stock and with Task list.Create a inspection plan in QP01 for relevant material when you done GR for order stock posted to QI with inspection lot do RR and UD to post the stock.
2.03 inspection type is inprocess which is used to inspect your product during production,, it is very usefull in process industry ,In process industry you always require to check certain paramter between process where stock posting is not relavent.You are doing inprocess to just ensure quality of product during process.For that you need to insert MIC in routing or recipe.
check for more information on 03 inspection type in below threads.
Cheers
KK
As I understand
for 03-->routing is needed -->CA01
for 04 ->Inspection Plan needed->QP01
As far as production versions are concern we only mention Routing & not Inspection plan there.!!
These is no concept of creating different Versions for 03 & 04 inspection.

1. In Material master qm view activate 03 and/ or 04 inspection type
2.in QP01 - maintain inspection plans for both 03 and 04 inspection type.
