Do i Need To Install SAP Router

There is no R3 in our system just installing as Service Desk for VAR.

Do i need to install SAP Router in order to use 'SNOTE' or is this installed automatically? (which i need to implement fix)

If i run OSS1 transaction Log on to the SAPNET i get 'Unable to connect to SAPnet message server.

Any help appreciated.

its not mandatory, but its recommended

under the section 'SAP Solution Manager VAR setup: network connection/ remote access' as the question

Is it mandatory to setup SAP Router to build the VAR Solution Manager connection enviroment between partner and SAP
