Dear forum colleagues,

has anyone had the request to convert ICD into SNOMED? If so, what wass the effort and mayb share some experience.

Second question, can anyone share the required effort for an upgrade of ICD 9 to ICD 10?

Hi Martin,

I wonder what the usecase for a conversion of ICD to SNOMED might be.

[Here|http://www.nlm.nih.gov/research/umls/mapping_projects/snomedct_to_icd9cm_reimburse.html] you find a (incomplete) mapping of SNOMED to ICD realised and provided by the US Natl. Library of Medicine. Also the usecase for this mapping is described. Note that this is unidirectional!
