UOM Disrepancy during the SNP PA data extraction

Hi Gurus

we have a situation, where for a location product the data in the planning book is displayed in EA(the base unit of measure of this product) and when the data is extracted to an SNP ODS it is extracting the data in Grams. in the product master unit of measure we have 1 EA = 100 Gms..

but we want the data be extracted in EAs instead of Gms..how to achieve this..

please share your ideas..

Hi,

Have a look at the SNP Planning area UOM. The data is stored as per the UOM in Planning area. Hence the extracted data is with Uom same as SNP planning area.

You can have a duplicate SNP planning area with the UoM desired. This dummy SNP Planning area can just be same as the original.

Thanks, do you think a conversion routine while extracting the data from SNP PA to the SNP data source will solve the issue..

Hi,

Yes we can use conversion routine to change the UoM. Please note that the UoM would be changed for all data.

Hi Nawanit,

Thanks again, we have decided to use a conversion routine, in the same program we filter the materials for which the conversion should take place and then we covert the UoM..
