Deadlock betw. semaphore 50 & DB lock for VBHDR during restart the dialog

Hi

when i restart the dialog instance ,i am facing a issue as following:

The nw version 7.01 sp05 ,the kernel level is 111 ,the os level is aix5.3 64,the oracle a version is 10.2

When i restart a dialog instance,

a large number of processes may wait

for semaphore 50 in transaction SM50. When i check transaction

DB01, the system displays that there is a database lock on the

table VBHDR and at least one lockwait on the table VBHDR.

After i kill -6 pid of lock at oslevel, I check db01, the dblock on the vbhdr is still there.

Hello,

in general in SM50 you could see which work process is locking the semaphore because the semaphore's number appears in color green. Did you identify which one was?

At startup all the update records with status "INIT" in SM13 gets processed automatically, that's the reason for the db locks for table VBHDR
