SAP GUI freeze when selecting a desktop file

Hi,

The SAP GUI freezes when I select any file on the workstation from a SAP transaction (A standard F4 help brings up a dialog screen to select the file from the workstation).

I tried to search for a similar problem and the solution in this scenario but could not get an answer, also the re-installation of the SAP GUI 710 did not fix this problem, could you point me out in the right direction.

try to provide some SAPGU logs and posted here or submit OSS message to SAP.

An SAP GUI patch update fixed the problem, but I am not too sure how that happened.

Starting with some of the basics, what patch for 7.10 are you at? The latest is 20.

If you are at that level, perform a SAP GUI installation check and see if that shows any errors in the log.

Also, what OS, IE and Office versions are you at. They also play a significant role in certain issues which appear.

Hi,

The current patch level on the system is 15, IE 8 and Office 2007. I will do a fresh installation and let you know the log generated.
