Do we need to install any separate item to view the 3d image in PLM7.0

In PLM 7.0 -> in the search results -> 3D image representations can be viewed. Is it compatible in browsers by default to view those images? or do we need to install any add-on?

i believe this Query would be already addressed or if u do a search on SAP PLM 7.0 Viewer u would get your answer..

SAP PLM 7.0 comes with a viewer RH- Deep View which supports viewing various 2D/3D & Image format just like its old counterpart the ECL Viewer (pls ref to SAP Note 1390575 for files format supported).

yes the viewer component would need to be installed at the client desktop. pls refer note SAP Note 1179524.
