I have two Production Versions for an assembly. They both have the same validity dates and no Lot size constraints. They simply have a different Alternative BOM inside.
We have our Production Orders setup with automatic production version selection. If everything in the versions is the same except for the Alternative BOM, how does SAP know which production version to use when I create a manual Production Order in CO01?
In my tests, every manual production order is getting Production Version 02. Is it because the system always choose the last one? How can I make it so it grabs Production Version 01 while still keeping the selection automatic?
Hi Fernando,
Please check your master data parameters for the two versions. SAP should not automatically favor any version as you described. In case all the parameters are the same, the system should popup both the versions and let you choose which one to select. may be the alternative BOM or routing for version1 has status inactive..
