Create a SC from a legacy system via interface. Which is the best practice?

Hi all,

I'm checking if the project is using the best practices in an SRM implementation, but I do not have access to the system yet, only to the funcional documents. In other projects we used the FM BBP_PD_SC_CREATE to create SC or we copy the FM to add several customs validations; but in these case we need to create the SC from a legacy system (not ECC) via an interface and I read that what we have to use is BAPI_SCEC_CREATE.

I will appreciate if some of the SRM experts / gurus could validate the right answer. Or at least tell me were I could find the explination of each one and their functionality. I don't need to know how to implemented just to know which is the correct one.

Thanks in advance.

Regards

Karina

Hi,

It is depends on Legacy system side. What kind of development language and interfaces are available in legacy system.

In SRM side, inbound options are RFC or ESOA PurchaseRequestProcessingManagePurchaseRequestIn, PurchaseRequestERPSourcingRequest_In.

Masa
