Dear All,
We have our production system with IASP. We have scheduled a job in late night for online backup of database andd journals with command
SAVLIB LIB(R3PRSDATA R3PRSJRN) DEV(TAP01) SAVACT(SYNCLIB) SAVACTWAIT(600) OUTPUT(PRINT)
We have scheduled this job with QSECOFR. But when we check display spooled file log for the job it says "No objects saved". Anyone as faced this issue with IASP?

Hi,
you should look at the parameter ASPDEV of SAVLIB. For an iASP you need to explicitly specify the parameter or have the ASP Group set in your job before.

Maybe the backup job could not find the library because the initial ASP group parameter was not set? You can set it in the job description (Parameter INLASPGRP). Were these the only messages in the joblog? Usually a message is sent for each object that could not be saved. You may have to change the job description to LOG(4 00 *SECLVL) in order to get a complete joblog.
Kind regards,
Christian Bartels.
