effects whilst doing PGI

I was asked what and where is the effect to finance after PGI.

Can someone highlight.

Adding to replies,Material document is generated for goods issued using 601 movement,accounting document is generated in FI

for stock postings.

Transaction keys used for cost of goods sold is GBB,Stock account is BSX,Account modification key is VAX.

In general, the consultants coming from engineering background find difficult to understand the account postings. If they gain basic accounting knowledge, it will be very useful to thier career.

when PGI happens - 601 GMT triggers.

COST OF GOODS SOLD A/C Dr

TO INVENTORY OF FINISHED GOODS A/C

Accounting document is generated for material stock issued i.e

Cost of goods sold is Dr to Stock account

Controlling document is also generated for collecting costs using cost elements

according to OKB9 assignment,controlling document is used in reporting.
